I've opened an art supply store in downtown San Luis Obispo. San Luis Art Supply is located at 1120 Morro Street, between Higuera and Marsh in the downtown area. I'm open 7 days, from 11ish to about 6ish (8ish on Farmer's Market Thursdays).
If you are local, please come on by and support a burgeoning local business. Have a seat in our lounge area, or come on by Thursday nights to watch some live painting and have some wine and snacks. It's not just a store, it's a place to exchange ideas and experiences. Art happens here.

Hello and Welcome to Neal Breton Dot Com!
My latest work explores depth through the use of the most traditional, most prolific subjects art has ever known, the female form. I am attempting to grow a tapestry of provocative depth using color and shape.
Often using black lines of varying weight, I attempt to set the general direction of the composition. The shapes are simplified to create a cohesive subject. I use no blending, only the overlapping of organic forms. The placement of the dots and drips of paint explore expanding and contracting spaces upon the two dimensional plain.
Overall, the subject matter could be soda cans, tires or light bulbs. The importance of my latest work lies in the process and the paths taken to the finished composition-- occasionally intentional, sometimes accidental, but always thriving in colored lawlessness.
